Crystal Sonic is an award winning deep-tech start-up based in Phoenix, Arizona, pioneering cutting edge solutions that reduce waste and cost in semiconductor manufacturing. The company’s patented Sonic Lift-off technology enables wafer splitting and re-use by leveraging acoustics. By incorporating Sonic Lift-off technology, chip makers can dramatically reduce wafer waste and cost and accelerate the introduction of advanced chips essential for electrification, communications, photonics and sensing applications of tomorrow.
Crystal Sonic is grateful for support from the DOE, NASA, NSF, and the Partnership for Economic Innovation, among others.
In 2024, the company received first prize among 70 international start-ups at the Lam Capital Venture Competition “Enabling Future Semiconductors” and the inaugural National Semiconductor Technology Center Symposium pitch competition in Washington D.C.
In January of 2025, Crystal Sonic was featured by the City of Phoenix, joining Mayor Gallego as part of a delegation of Phoenix-based start-ups at CES 2025 in Las Vegas.
